If you missed seeing Snyder’s barn last year, you will have an opportunity Saturday, May 2 to view the hundreds of Pike County artifacts in this huge collection. The Snyder family will have the barn items on display from 10 am to 4 pm. The East School Museum, Shastid House, and Pike County All Wars Museum will also be open.
The Historic East School and Shastid House are now open for the 2014 season from 10 am to 2pm, Wednesday through Saturday for tours or genealogy information. Other hours are available by appointment. Please call 217-491-2391 for information or to make an appointment.
Talking house radio tours are always availabled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pike County History books are available next to the museum at Pike County Historical Society or at Casteel’s.

The Pike County Historical Society along with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Snyder will host an open house on Saturday, May 10 from 10 am to 4 pm at 25264 393rd Street, Pittsfield to allow people to view hundreds of Pike County items collected by the Snyder family. The barn is full from top to bottom with many unique treasures.
