The Pike County Fair features all the attractions normally associated with county fair. Features are top rated society horse shows, tractor pulls, pageants, and carnival attractions. The weekend also features live entertainment and a talent show on Saturday and a mud bog on Sunday.

A reminder to gather some items (handiwork, art, garden produce, or canning items) to enter in the Pike County Fair exhibit building. Fair books are available at banks, post office, and gas stations. You can find info on their website, http://pikecountyillinoisfair.org.
They want to make the exhibit area into a great display again. Check in times for exhibit items is Wednesday, July 15, 4-7 pm and Thursday, July 16, 3-7 pm. All exhibitors must purchase a exhibit pass costing $20.
Fair starts Thursday, July 16 and runs through Monday, July 20. Fair church service will be Sunday night, July 19, 6:30 pm.
The fair is bringing in an up and coming band, State Line Drive. The band sings mostly country but they do throw in a mix of pop and rock. Everyone always says there is nothing going on so come out and support the fair in their effort to bring in some great entertainment. They will be playing Thursday evening.
Pleasant Hill offers a full day of excitement starting with a morning parade through the downtown and finishing with a gigantic fireworks display at the village park. Come spend the day and enjoy pageants, kids games, adult games, a talent show and all the good food you can eat.

Food vendors will be open following the parade and will remain open throughout the day. Food options include: Sno-Cones; pork chops; fish sandwiches; ribeye sandwiches; curly fries; gyros; corn dogs; lemonade shake-ups; funnel cakes & more!!
A novelty stand will be set up as always.
Full Moon Farms & Petting Zoo are scheduled to be present as well.

There will be a benefit for Jerri Guthrie Goodin on Saturday, June 20 at the Pleasant Hill American Legion Hall. Event will be held from 3-7 pm and feature a silent auction and fish fry.
Goodin was diagnosed with Stage IV Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in 2010. The family has been struggling to make ends meet for the past five years and needs our help.

Pittsfield/Pleasant Hill Girls Basketball Camp 2015 will be June 1, 2, 3 and 4. Grades 1-3 will be held from 9 am – 11 am, Grades 4-6 from 9 am – 11 am and Grades 7-8 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Pittsfield Community School (PCS) Gym.
