Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Celebration – July 2 – Pleasant Hill, IL

Fourth of July Activities- Pleasant Hill, IL

Pleasant Hill offers a full day of excitement starting with a morning parade through the downtown and finishing with a gigantic fireworks display at the village park.  Come spend the day and enjoy pageants, kids games, adult games, a talent show and all the good food you can eat.


Kid’s Games will be available from 2-5 courtesy of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

Food vendors will be open following the parade and will remain open throughout the day. Food options include: Sno-Cones; pork chops; fish sandwiches; ribeye sandwiches; curly fries; gyros; corn dogs; lemonade shake-ups; funnel cakes & more!!

A novelty stand will be set up as always.

Full Moon Farms & Petting Zoo are scheduled to be present as well.

4th of july pchWhat better way to celebrate our freedom and independence than with a community celebration?! Let us help you get ready for this holiday with a listing of community events and activites that will be held in honor of this historic holiday!


Pine Lakes Jellystone Park – Fireworks show July 4. Gate opens at 8:30 pm. Entry Fee: $5.00 per car

Pleasant Hill:

4th of July Parade at 11 am will go through the town and end at the city park.  National Anthem at 1 pm, baby contest at 1:15, Little Mr & Miss contest at 2:15, Prince & Princess at 3, Jr. Miss & Miss at 4, Cheerleaders at 5, Lip Sync contest at 5:30, Miss Fire Cracker at 6:15, Fireworks at dusk.  Half Moon Petting Zoo will have pony rides.  Spring Creek and Pleasant Hill EMS will have a disaster relief trailer in parade and park to raise money.

Outside of Pike County:

Quincy 4th of July Fireworks will be held at the Illinois Veterans Home at 9:20 pm. Spectacular fireworks display on the grounds of the Illinois Veterans Home. Refreshments will be available. The Concessions and Kids Zone will open at 5 pm. Pre-firework entertainment will be provided by the Quincy Park Band at 7:30 pm. Fireworks begin at dusk. Parking is limited, use the shuttle bus from Lot C at Quincy University at 18th & Elm Streets.

Louisiana, MO 4th of July Celebration. Come to the riverfront in Louisiana and enjoy food and fun during the afternoon and evening followed by the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Fireworks Show at dusk!

Jerseyville 4th of July Fireworks will be at the American Legion at 9 pm. American Legion, 300 Veterans Memorial Parkway
Come watch the fireworks in Jerseyville at the American Legion. Fireworks begin at dusk.

Grafton Independence Celebration will be on July 5th on Main Street at dusk.

Jacksonville 4th of July Blast will be on July 4 over Mauvaise Terre Lake at 9:30 pm.

YMCA 4th of July Color Run/Relay – July 4 – Louisiana, MO

4thPrepare to get blasted with patriotic powder paint in this color run relay highlighting five of Louisiana’s city parks. Race can be run by a four person relay team or as an individual. Individuals are encouraged to wear white clothing to make the paint pop.

Course is a total of 3.8 miles starting at Wallace Memorial Park and moving to Veterans Park, Sunset Park, Lincoln Park, Henderson Park, and down to the riverfront. Race begins at 9 am July 4th and registrations will be taken up until July 3.

Cohosted by the Twin Pike Family YMCA and City of Louisiana. Registrations fee is $80 for Relay teams/$20 per relay team member, $20 for youth ages 13-17 and YMCA members running individually, and $30 for an adult YMCA Non-member running individually.

Pleasant Hill 4th of July Parade Signups

4thIf you wish to submit a float into the Pleasant Hill 4th of July Parade, please contact Sally Ward or mail your entry to general delivery, Pleasant Hill. The theme is small town hero and there will be three prizes: Best Theme, Most Patriotic and Miss Pleasant Hill’s Choice. The parade starts at 11 with line up at 10.
